STRAY BULLETS #39
by David Lapham
The acclaimed comics series continues its fifth arc of gut wrenching tales — an arc of
stories full of hjinks, derring-do, and severe beatings. It’s a risky mission and Lord knows
why she has to do it, but Virginia Applejack’s determined to play the hero. This hopeless
romantic will risk all and go to any lengths to complete her mission. But will it be worth
it? Even if getting caught means being beaten to death by kids with no conscience? Or
worse? Or even more worse?! Leon doesn’t think so, but Virginia’s a sucker for a sob
story, and this story may be the sappiest one she’s ever heard. A deception, a fight, a drug
deal gone bad, another fight, and a barrel full of monkeys all have something to do with
this sappy tale of romance and stupidity.

legend. Young Savage sets out upon the path to his destiny, and on the day he is to
become a man, he must face the staggering terror of his people's worst nightmares... The
