Cel art anime comics of Akira the movie, based on Katsuhiro Otomo, (director of the movie's classic manga in the 80s). Young Kaneda and his friends form a team of juvenile delinquents in Neo Tokyo, the remnant of Tokyo after the nuclear hit in the World War III. Tetsuo, one of the teammates, is attacked by a strange kid/old man who has super-human power. Tetsuo is taken to a military laboratory where the military is leading a secret study to unleash the superhuman power from these 'old kids.' Superb anime art.
